Tranzfuser

We are delighted to share the news that Manchester Met has successfully been appointed a local hub as part of the UK Games Fund’s Tranzfuser programme. As part of the programme, a team of recent graduates and current students from across the university will be housed in the university’s The Shed building, working to turn their game idea into a working demo over the next three months. The students, forming the team ‘Wip Tail Games’, span a range of courses from across the university’s faculties, including BSc (Hons) Games Design and Development, BA (Hons) Creative Music Production and BA (Hons) Animation, and will be led by Nathan Robinson, who graduates this year from Games Design and Development. They have a tight budget of £5,000 to develop their game – and must demo at a showcase event later this year, where they may have the opportunity to pitch for follow-on funding of up to £25k.

The Games Research Network’s Matthew Crossley will be acting as Manchester Met’s local hub coordinator, helping to ensure that the team are supported throughout the development of their game, and that the university offers them their full support.
