MMU Union, Meeting Room 8

The Games Research Network is excited to be hosting its first meeting for postgraduates researching games and play.

This event is intended to lay the foundation for a network of postgraduate students and post-docs from across disciplines, who are working on (or have an interest in) digital games, board/tabletop games, and play. We're inviting researchers from universities in the north-west of England and beyond to take part.

We are particularly interested in building interdisciplinary links and connecting institutions to each other. Future events may focus more upon presenting research outcomes and collaborating on ideas, but for now we're keen to build the network in a more relaxed and informal way, and provide an opportunity for attendees to take a break from writing for an afternoon.

We will be getting to know each other, chatting about our research, and playing some games!

Tea and coffee will be provided, and we will be close to pubs for further discussion and play after the event closes.

You can register for the event at our Eventbrite page here.
