Board Game Survey - Participants needed!
Léa Martinez, Game in Lab/Asmodee PhD student, works on the impact of board gaming on the development of cognitive functions and academic learning, in adults and teenagers. In the context of her PhD, she has developed an online survey about players’ experiences. The goal is to develop a scale that measures players’ immersion and concentration while playing board games. The scale corresponds to a questionnaire in which players report the feelings they experienced during a board game session.
To validate the scale, 300 players are needed to take part in the survey. As mentioned above, participants will be invited to complete a questionnaire based on a recent board game session experience. Completing the survey only takes 15 minutes.

If you are a Role-Playing Game player, please respond to this specific version of the survey, dedicated to RPGs: https://cerca.labo.univ-poitiers.fr/cogtest/english-rpg/
The validated scale will be made accessible to all. It will be usable by researchers and professionals from any disciplines to describe players’ experience, concentration, and immersion while playing board games. It could also be used by game designers who wish to assess a board game’s immersive potential.
Feel free to share the links with anyone who might be interested. Your answers will help ensure that board game research continues to move forward. Thank you for your help!
