New book series: Anthem Advances in Game Studies

Invitations are sought for book proposals for the new Anthem Advances in Game Studies book series, directed by Game Centre member Gabriele Aroni, published by Anthem Press.

The Anthem Advances in Game Studies series is dedicated to the critical examination of video games, addressing their cultural, artistic, and social dimensions. With a global perspective, the series investigates the ways in which games intersect with other forms of media, influence public discourse, and shape global cultural narratives. Featuring works that are both theoretically rigorous and methodologically diverse, the series aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the role of videogames in the global cultural landscape.

If you would like to submit or discuss a proposal for a monograph (mid-length or full-length), an edited collection, handbook, course book, or essential introductions aimed at a general audience, please feel free to contact Gabriele Aroni (G.Aroni@mmu.ac.uk) or Anthem Press (proposal@anthempress.com).
