Student Project: Storytelling through Python: Create your own Text-based Adventure Game

MGC member, Catherine Elkin, has developed a student project to support storytelling, communication and coding skills. This project aims to pair students interested in code with other students interested in storytelling to create text-based adventure games. This is part of MMU’s award-winning RISE initiative.

Students will attend a series of workshops over two days, exploring the fundamentals of Python code, storytelling and puzzle design, and will have space to work on their own games with feedback from instructors. They will then have a short period to finish their games and submit them, with prizes for the winning team who produce the best game. The project will run in June and is open to all Manchester Metropolitan students.
